WELCOME....

A young man's search to return to "self" following a traumatic brain injury, and the road a couple and family traveled and faced together hoping to conquer brain injury along with pre-existing bipolar and anxiety disorders... both a tragedy and comedy at times, with personal memories, deepest fears, feelings, triumphs, successes and ultimately heart-break and self-discovery along the way...

Welcome to the story of Danny's traumatic brain injury.

I am writing this for two reasons...so that Danny as well as myself can look back, appreciate life, understand...especially Danny, who will never recall most of it....and the other bigger reason is to provide knowledge, support and hope for others who seek comfort with brain injury, or perhaps just want to educate themselves.

I warn, this journey was not a success story. After much hope in the beginning, in it's end it was a tragedy. The story of the recovery is informative...hopefully other journeys of those with brain injury continue an upward scale. This is the story of one that did not.
